Philippine Bar Examination Tips

The bar examination is a test of knowledge in the philosophy of law and the Philippine law as a whole. I myself had already taken two bar examinations last 2005 and 2006 but I failed both of them. I got a grade of 71 and 73 respectively for both examinations. I thought when I took the bar last 2006 I already made it but the result tells otherwise. For one month then I felt depress and I thought God was very unfair to me. Then I realize that this is not the end of the world. So I have to move on. I adopt a new hobby of angling/fishing and then study for the MBA at Ateneo De Naga University. By adopting this hobbies I have move and relieved myself from the depression. Until now I am happy fishing around the Bicol Region coastal areas and rivers. With regards to my MBA I already finished my academic subjects and I am now finishing my thesis. But I have to postponed my thesis preparation and making until the 2nd semester of this year. I have to take my bar examination this coming September 2009 and be a lawyer next year 2010. I have to take my chance again and let the supreme being permit me to pass such great endeavor of my life.

Now that I am reviewing for the bar examination, I do it in a relax manner and doing the things I do regularly. I do believe that changing my routine will do me harm than good. Just like what I did before when I took the two bar examinations, I pressured myself and to the point of overdoing it. The result was also a disaster. Other bar examinees and flunkers said that the examiners are just human, they also commit errors while checking our examinations booklets. But that reasons is not a good alibi we have to exert our best efforts in preparing for the bar and make a good impression in answering the tricky questions given by our examiners.

What I observed in the past two bar examinations that I took, that the examiner would like to know if we are using our common senses with regards the laws that we learned from our studies. If he witness and find the keywords in our answers to bar questions that he gave, he will give us the proper grade to the corresponding correct answers.

Most of the bars questions are based on real life situations and asking what remedies should we apply given in such situations. What makes the bar examinations difficult are additional facts that are not relevant to the case. Examiners are fun of using so many adjectives and nouns that are not relevant and material to such situation. So we examinee got confused then panic, the result is out of order in answering the bar questions.

The only thing we could do is relax, analyze the question, state the correct law, and conclude your answers. It maybe simple but hard to do. I always remember the motto of Frank D. Roosevelt when he said even if there is crisis, he always maintain "Grace under Pressure". Why we should maintain grace, because the bar questions is simple but tricky. The trickiness of the questions is the flavor in our bar examination.

It put to test our personality and attitude to the extreme, even to the brink of falling or collapsing it. We should learn to compose and manage ourselves. Because our knowledges in law is intact in our brain, but ones our body did not cooperate to our brain or synchronize to each other, the result will be otherwise. In the process of reviewing for the bar we have to prepare our body in four aspects which are physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We should be in control to ourselves.

One lawyer said that when he took the bar, he proclaimed himself as a lawyer. When he was answering the bar questions, he answered it as a lawyer and not as a student. After that he passed the bar and been proclaimed has a legitimate lawyer by the Supreme Court en banc.

Fellow examinees to this September 2009 bar examination, I wish you good luck, good health, and good fortune. Congratulation.

Mabuhay tayong lahat.

Five Reasons Why God Uses Problems

The problems you face will either defeat you or develop

you - depending on how you respond to them.
Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to
use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and
resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit

they might bring.
Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

1.God Uses Problems To DIRECT You
Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving.
Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to
change.
Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes
a painful situation to make us change our ways."

2. God Uses Problems To INSPECT You
People are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them,
just drop them into hot ever water! Has God tested
your faith with a problem What do problems reveal about you?

"When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full
of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith,
and this will give you patience."

3. God Uses Problems To CORRECT You
Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure.
It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a
hot stove.
But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only
learn the value of something... health, money, a relationship. ..
by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me,
for it taught me to pay attention to your laws."

4. God Uses Problems To PROTECT You
A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from
being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend
was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss
had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but
it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year
later when management's actions were eventually discovered.
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...

5. God Uses Problems To PERFECT You
Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders.
God is far more interested in your character than your comfort.
Your relationship to God and your character are the only two
things you're going to take with you into eternity.
"We can rejoice when we run into problems...
they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of
character in us and helps us trust God more each time
we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady."

Here's the point Ad:
God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or
understand it.
But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him.

"Success can be measured not only in achievements, but in lessons
learned,
lives touched and moments shared along the way"

Cancer Update

from John Hopkins

YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY .

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow , gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9 When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened Soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become purified and leads to more toxic build up.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Florescence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing, helps to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U S - PLEASE READ

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Ed ward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life.

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven a its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses
of water,

2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes,
3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal,
4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2
hours,

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the
beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4
glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/ reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure – 30 days
2. Gastric – 10 days
3. Diabetes – 30 days
4. Constipation – 10 days
5. Cancer – 180 days
6. TB – 90 days
7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week,
and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times. It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.

Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense the Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!!

Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks: Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.

Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

Reduce stress with a strong social support network

by Mayo Clinic

It doesn't take a scientific study to show that surrounding yourself with supportive family, friends and co-workers can have a positive effect on your mental well-being, although there's plenty of research to confirm it. A strong social support network can be critical to helping you through the stress of tough times, whether you've had a bad day at work or a year filled with loss or chronic illness. It's never too soon to cultivate these important relationships — and your social support network can never have too many good friends.

What is a social support network?

A social support network is different from a support group. A social support network is made up of friends, family and peers, while a support group is generally a structured meeting run by a mental health professional. Although both can play an important role in times of stress, a social support network is something you can develop when you're not under stress, providing the comfort of knowing that your friends are there if you need them.

You don't need to formalize your support network with regular meetings. A coffee break with a friend at work, a quick chat with a neighbor, a phone call to your sister, even a visit to church are all ways to reduce stress while fostering lasting relationships with the people close to you.
Benefits of a social support network

The positive effects of a support network include:

* Sense of belonging. Spending time with people helps ward off loneliness. Whether it's other new moms, dog lovers, fishing buddies or siblings, just knowing you're not alone can go a long way toward coping with stress.
* Increased sense of self-worth. Having people who call you a friend reinforces the idea that you're a good person to be around.
* Feeling of security. By reaching out and sharing yourself with others, you have the added security of knowing that if you start to show signs of depression or exhibit unhealthy lifestyle habits, your friends can help alert you to the problem.

Cultivating your support network

The first step toward developing a strong support network is an evaluation of your own behavior as it relates to building and maintaining friendships. After all, relationships are a two-way street. The better friend you are, the better your friends will be. Here are some suggestions for nurturing your relationships:

* Stay in touch. Answering phone calls, returning e-mails and reciprocating invitations lets people know you care.
* Be proactive. Don't wait for someone else to make the first move. If you meet someone you think could be a good friend, invite him or her for coffee. Or be the one to strike up a conversation while in line at the grocery store.
* Know when to say no and when to say yes. Spending time with people who aren't supportive can add stress and take away valuable time. On the other hand, don't decline an invitation because you feel shy or insecure.
* Don't compete. Be happy instead of jealous when your friends succeed, and they'll celebrate your accomplishments in return.
* Be a good listener. Find out what's important to your friends — you might find you have even more in common than you think.
* Challenge yourself. Keep looking for ways to improve yourself. Maybe it's by complaining less, being more generous or forgiving others' faults.
* Don't overdo it. In your zeal to extend your social network, be careful not to overwhelm friends and family with phone calls and e-mails. Save those high-demand times for when you really need them.
* Appreciate your friends and family. Take time to say thank you and express how important they are to you.

Ready for more friends, but not sure where to find them? Here are some ideas for extending your social network:

* Visit the park. Whether you bring your dog, your kids or your running shoes, you'll have something to talk about.
* Volunteer. Pick a cause that's important to you, and you're sure to meet others who share a similar value system.
* Ask a friend. Next time you meet a friend for lunch, ask him or her to bring along someone else.
* Go back to school. A local college or community education course will put you in contact with others who share similar hobbies or pursuits.
* Look online. Although in-person relationships are best, if you're living in a small town or living abroad, you might find added support through chat rooms or online bulletin boards. Many good sites exist for people going through stressful times such as chronic illness, loss of a loved one, new baby, divorce and other life changes. Just be sure to stick to reputable sites, and never arrange person-to-person meetings with such a contact.

A cautionary tale

Remember that the goal of extending your social support network is to reduce your stress level, not add to it. Here are some things to look out for when evaluating your relationships:

* Manage obligatory social ties. Some evidence shows that the negative consequences of maintaining obligatory relationships, such as with certain relatives or co-workers, can outweigh the benefits. Although you may not be able to cut ties with a nagging in-law, look for ways to manage the relationship so it doesn't become a stressor for you.
* Beware of co-dependents. A support system with people who are engaged in the same unhealthy behaviors that you're trying to overcome — whether it's substance abuse or simply a negative attitude — can be damaging to your well-being.
* Avoid a sense of duty. The best support systems have no strings attached. If your peers are constantly demanding repayment for their efforts, or you feel pressured to conform to their beliefs, you're better off without them.
* Pick the right supporter. If you need help through a hard time, consider carefully which friend or family member to ask. A sibling might not be the best choice, for example, in dealing with grief over a lost parent because they too are affected by the loss.

The bottom line: More friends, less stress

It's always a good time to make more friends or improve on the relationships you already have. Whether you're the one getting the support or the one doling out the encouragement, you'll reap the rewards of comfort and compassion.

REMOVING GALLSTONES NATURALLY

This natural therapy by Dr. Lai Chui-Nan is effective and it works. I tried it personally because there has no harm of trying such cleansing of the my body of any foreign bodies or toxins. During the following day after the final period of therapy when I go to the toilet and remove my bowel I found out that there were green stone floating in the water of the bowl. Therefore, this therapy is true and effective.

This therapy was given to me by a brother mason who encourage me to take this therapy for health reason. So I did and the rest is history. If you tried this regimen or therapy the author had one favor that you passed this article to a friend who want to remove his gallbladder stones.

Arwin Aro

Natural removal of gallbladder stones

By: Dr. Lai Chiu-Nan

It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news. Chiu-Nan is not charging for it. Therefore, we should make it free for everyone. Your reward is when someone, through your word-of-mouth, benefits from the therapy.

Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. However, they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer.

Cancer is never the first illness. Chiu-Nan points out; usually there are many other problems leading to cancer. In my research in China, I came across some materials, which say that people with cancer usually have stones

We all have gallstones. It is a matter of big or small, many or few. One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you cannot digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area.

Therefore, if you think you have gallstones, Chiu-Nan offers the following method to remove them naturally. The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and the gallbladder are closely link.

Regimen

1) For the first five days take four glasses of apple juice everyday or eat four to five
apples, whichever you prefer Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the period of
five days, eat normally.

2) On the sixth day, do not eat dinner.

3) At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm
water.

4) At 8 PM, repeat the same dose of magnesium sulphate, it opens the gallbladder ducts.

5) At 10 PM, take half cup of olive oil or sesame oil with ha1f cup fresh lemon juice Mix
it well and then drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. Usually they float in the toilet bowl. Chiu-Nan notes, you may count them if you wish. I had people who counted 40, 50, or up to 100 stones. Therefore, it is plenty; imagine having such stones in your gallbladder.

Even if you do not have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It is always good to give your gallbladder a clean up now and than to be sorry latter.
